Someone said it aptly!

With the nuclear and technological advancements throughout the world, the global village has turned into a diplomatic battlefield. To understand the Indian foreign policy we must roll ourselves back to the ‘Objective resolution’ presented by pt. Nehru back then in 1946. It actually layed the genesis for the diplomatic evolution over the years. Each adjective and noun contributes in the contemporary foreign policy aptly. The asian diplomatic history has been very rich and engaging when it comes to a global perspective. By engaging, I, off course mean the innumerable militant attacks and scientific gulf created by neighbours in Indian subcontinent.

For a populous country like India, the biggest advantage for the fastest growing economy is undoubtedly its young human resource and remarkably the disadvantage too. Its high time we learn how to channelise this humongous resource and empower it to boost economy. China being the most populous country, has smartly…

“My humanity exists because of you, I cannot fathom why would you want to give up yours?” he asked, perplexed at the thought of me wanting to be the one thing he hates the most.

“Being human is given, but keeping our humanity is a choice. I’m your only thread which connects you with your humanity then why can’t you be mine as well?” I asked weakly, looking straight into his dark eyes letting him see the determination in mine. He looked away in frustration. Suddenly, he turned back and stared at me as though he was seeing right through me.

“Humanity is lost because people have abandoned using their conscience as their compass. But the conscience is what we do not have for we are in all expects cold blooded monster. I will not watch you losing the best thing that defines who you are. And becoming the one thing I hate the most in my life. Even if you are dy- ” He cut off abruptly,  and started pacing the length of the small room I was admitted in. He cannot even say the word. Sighing heavily, he leaned back on the wall towards the right and slid down onto the cold floor looking down, defeated. I haven’t seen him feeling this helpless ever before.

“But I cannot loose you either,” he said in a barely audible whisper, his voice hoarse. “Believe me, If I hadn’t been there at the right time you would have been as good as dead, you would have become the one thing we both hate the most in this world. Now that you are here, I will find the old witch and find a way to kill your dark side- “, He stopped speaking and listened. My eyes were getting heavy now and my breathing laboured. In a blur he sat on the chair accross from my bed and took my hand in his calloused ones.

“Come now, Adian. Time is of the essence.” I whispered weakly. “The war brewing outside is the defeat of humanity. I see humans, but no humanity. My time is coming to an end now. I can feel it. If you cannot find faith in humanity, then be the faith in humanity. And who is better than you to fulfil that place?” I said giving him a small smile.

“Octavia,” He looked at me with so much love and compassion in his eyes that I swear in that moment we were infinite. I could care less about dying, knowing he loved me so much. My heart warmed looking into his crystalline blue eyes.

But in a blink of an eye, gone was the man who laughed with me at my not so funny jokes;

Gone was the man who loved me to the moon and back;

Gone was the humble man with kind eyes I first met;

Instead I saw his face become an emotionless mask as my eyes glazed over and I took my last breath. I felt a chill went over me, that had nothing to do with the open window to the left, I felt dread sipping into my bones and a pain so excruciating in my heart as if I was stabbed again and again at the same place. I couldn’t breathe.

“It is too late now, my love,” he said with an empty voice, carassing my cheek. “I’m no longer the man you loved. I will avenge your death till my last breath.” The word ‘No’ left my lips in a gasp. Then there was nothing but darkness.
